To compete globally, Pakistan must invest in both scientific research and human capital. A modern education system emphasizing critical thinking and innovation is essential. Strengthening basic sciences and linking them with applied fields like biotechnology and engineering will drive long-term economic growth. DoSTās initiatives are appreciated for supporting evidence-based policymaking and knowledge sharing.Countries grow by investing in science and technologyāand so must Pakistan. We need a new kind of education that prepares youth not just to learn but to innovate and adapt. By bridging basic and applied sciences, and through support from institutions like DoST, we can build a self-reliant, knowledge-based economy. Sustainable economic growth depends on scientific innovation and skilled human resources. Pakistan must strengthen basic sciences, align them with applied fields, and reform education to meet future global challenges. We appreciate DoSTās role in enabling better, faster decisions through knowledge exchange and collaboration. Scientific investment + skilled workforce = sustainable growth. Reforming education and linking basic to applied sciences is key. DoSTās support in fostering innovation and informed policymaking is commendable.
